Helvetica

Yes it's a documentary about a font. It's actually a really great 80 minutes and proves that you can make a movie about anything.

"You will do what the typeface wants you to do."
"If you are not a good designer just use Helvetica Bold in one size. It looks good."
"All that hunting for the next typeface is so exhausting."
" Growing up in the netherlands, Helvetica is like our natural mother toungue, it is almost in our blood."
The "typeface of socialism", "the perfume of the city".
"How to choose a typeface use 'ABH' -- Anything but Helvetica."
"Reminded me of cleaning up my room."
"I was morally opposed to Helvetica."
"If you used Helvetica you were in favor of the Vietnam war." "Then what is the typeface of the Iraq war?" "Helvetica."
"It says: Do not read me because I will bore the shit out of you."

I love the section about grunge typography. David Carson printing what he felt litle was a really shitty article about Bryan Ferry in Raygun magazine in a font he felt suited the quality of the article -- Dingbat. Awesome.
